Medical Practice

Doctor Promin's practice is a reflection of the dynamic growth in Ocala and North-Central Florida. People have been relocating from all parts of the Northeast and Upper Mid-West steadily over the last 10 to 12 years. They are attracted by the natural beauty of the area. The equine industry has set the standard for large tracts of unspoiled acreage, delineated by open, rolling pastures, limestone-based soil where mares and their foals graze throughout the winter months.

New and old residents alike have become part of our patient-base. To serve this growing group most efficiently, the practice has had to limit its original Family Practice orientation to an Internal Medicine base.

Doctor Promin has full staff privileges at two major hospitals, Munroe Regional Medical Center and Ocala Regional Medical Center (an H.C.A. affiliate). In addition, West Marion Community Hospital, a branch of Ocala Regional Medical Center, is also available on the growing Route 200 western perimeter of Marion County. A huge expansion of commercial and support industries is taking place along this corridor.

Our patients know that they are being heard by their doctor. In this world of "in-and-out-the-door medicine," Doctor Promin represents the way medicine should be practiced: on a time-as-needed basis. Our patients trust that their physician hears, and takes the time, to solve their medical problems. Thus, when he recommends that they might consider looking into a research study that he is undertaking, they listen. Almost all of our study subjects come from within this practice.

The Principal Investigator is 'onsite' to answer the Clinical Staff's questions, and to do the physical exams required at certain points in a given study.

In short, we are a closely integrated group of professionals serving people whom we know well.
